Working with the customer's Engineering, Purchasing, and Planning Departments PTD implemented a plan that managed their daily production run tooling. Using the company's maintenance programs PTD determined what tools to have on hand and the tooling needed to refit the tool at time of scheduled maintenance. To ensure no minimal production loss due to tool failure PTD additionally provided same-day replacement tool services.

Result
Met the customer's in-house inventory reduction goals while also greatly reducing lead times for complex mold cores, mold cavities, reworked injection molds, precision assembly machine parts and build to spec assemblies.
